General Terms and Conditions for further education events at the UFL
Registration
Registration must be made in writing by post, email or electronically via the website. Registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received and are binding. Receipt will be confirmed. If the desired course or seminar is already fully booked, you will be informed by us. Otherwise you will receive a confirmation of registration and an invoice for payment of the course fee.
Implementation decision
The UFL reserves the right to cancel courses and seminars with too few registrations.
In this case, the course fee will be refunded. Any further claims for damages, in particular cancellation fees / invoices for hotel, travel etc. and loss of profit are excluded.
Fees and costs
The fees for all courses and seminars are shown on the website and must be paid within 30 days of invoicing. Installment payments are possible if they are approved before the invoice is issued. If legal action has to be taken for collection, a lump sum of CHF 100 will be charged for reminder and collection costs.
Withdrawal from the contract
Registration is generally valid for an entire course or seminar.
In the event of cancellation up to 10 days before the start of the course or seminar, 70% of the registration fee will be refunded. If the registration is canceled 10 days or less before the start of the course or seminar, the registration fee will not be refunded.
All cancellations and requests must be submitted in writing by post or email to the Further Education Management of the UFL.
Reservation of changes
The UFL reserves the right to change the program, change lecturers and switch to digital teaching due to force majeure. Canceled lessons will be made up where possible. In the event of the above-mentioned events, no financial claim can be made against the UFL.
Exclusion
UFL is entitled to exclude participants from lessons with immediate effect in the event of gross breaches of contractual obligations and inappropriate behavior. Payments made will not be refunded. The outstanding amount remains due.
In cases of hardship, the director will decide on a reduction or refund of tuition fees and costs on the basis of a written application.
