I began my academic career at the Paris-Lodron University of Salzburg, Austria, with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. This was followed by a Master in Medical Biology, where I focused on molecular biology, tumor biology and immunology. The next step of my career led me to Zurich where I completed my PhD studies at the UZH and the University Hospital Zurich. During this time, I investigated the effect of RNA editing on gene expression in mesothelioma tumor cells.

With my move to the ITM as a postdoc, I would like to take the next step in my career and contribute my previous experience to the development and orientation of the new institute. I am also looking forward to expanding my knowledge in the field of hematology and immunogenetics and to planning and carrying out many exciting projects.
