Prof. Dr. Louis Pahlow


Professor Pahlow joined UFL in 2021 as a lecturer in modern legal history and intellectual property law. Since then, he has also supervised dissertations in these areas.

Louis Pahlow (born in 1970) studied law in Giessen, Bayreuth and Munich. In 2006, he habilitated at the University of Bayreuth in intellectual property law and comparative legal history. After professorships in Mannheim (2007-2009) and Saarbrücken (2009-2012), he has been teaching and researching intellectual property law and modern legal history at Goethe University in Frankfurt since 2012. Louis Pahlow is the author of various books, including “Lizenz und Lizenzvertrag” (2006), “Hochschulerfinderrecht” (with Klaus Gaerditz, 2011) and “Patentvertragsrecht” (7th ed. 2024).
